New Video: How to Make Homegrown Pumpkin Pie

Since Thanksgiving is just a week away, I thought I would shoot a video on how to make a pumpkin pie with your very own homegrown pumpkins! And even if you didn’t grow your own (there’s always next year, you know), you can find pie pumpkins at the grocery store.

I usually grow either sugar pumpkins or New England pie pumpkins for the express purpose of making REAL pumpkin pies. No Libby’s pumpkin pie filling or store-bought pies for me. No sir! Once you taste a homegrown pumpkin pie, you will never go back.

Also in the video, I briefly share some ideas on how to cook, bake or otherwise prepare winter squash for various types of dishes. Sometimes, I think folks see these squash in stores, or they’ve grown them for the first time in their garden (way to go!), but they’re really not sure what to do with them. So this will give you some options.
