Video: Late Season Garden Tasks

When the weather gets colder in the fall, it’s easy to think the garden season is over and you can head indoors. Not so fast! In this week’s video, I take you along while I handle some important late season garden tasks.

You’ll see me bringing delicate garden art and glass rain gauges indoors so they won’t break from the freeze-thaw cycles. I’ll take steps to prevent critter damage from gophers, voles and deer over the winter. You’ll also get a sneak peek of the winter garden, which is growing in our small hoop house. And you will also hear why I don’t clean up flowers or leaves this time of year.
