Video: Grow Flowers!

grow flowers
Geum ‘Tangerine’

I’ve got a double treat for you today. My new video is out and I think you’ll enjoy both watching and listening to it. This year, I’m planning to interplant more flowers in our vegetable garden. My goal is to attract more pollinators and beneficial insects to increase production. But I also love to grow flowers because they add so much beauty.

The video contains a slideshow of some gorgeous annual and perennial flowers to inspire you. In addition, I performed the soundtrack for the slideshow on my 100-year-old Steinway baby grand piano! I chose ‘Clair de Lune’ by Claude Debussy because it seemed like a good accompaniment.

You might recall that I shot a video in December that was called ‘Susan’s Garden in Winter’. It had a slideshow of photos showing how beautiful our garden is when it’s covered in snow. And I played the soundtrack for it by performing a Bach Prelude in C Major. (if you missed that, here’s a link)

I hope you will enjoy this new video. I really want to encourage folks to grow flowers to help out the pollinators and beneficial insects. And you in turn will reap the rewards!
