Video: Seed Starting #2

seed starting, germination test
I think these sprouting bean seeds look cool!

Last week, I shot a very detailed video on Seed Starting Basics. Ordinarily my videos aren’t so long but there was just so much information to share with you! This time around, my Seed Starting #2 video is a more manageable length of about 10 minutes.

For this video, I wanted to follow up with you on how some of the seeds I planted last week were doing, show you how our microgreens are growing (which was the topic of my video 2 weeks ago), give the results of my seed germination test, and provide examples of how I use my seed-starting scheduler worksheets to finely tune when I start seeds and transplant the seedlings out in the garden.

If you missed last week’s video, the seed-starting scheduler is a free, downloadable chart to help you organize your seed-starting plans. It’s a really simple form but it sure keeps me on track! In this video, I show you my plans for this year and what last year’s chart looked like after a bit of tweaking to the planting dates. Each year, I pull out the previous year’s chart to quickly map out the current year’s plans. It works great.

OK, here’s the video. I hope you’ll enjoy it:
