Video: November Garden Update

garden update

It’s time for my next video and boy was it chilly while I was filming it! I thought it’d be good to give you a garden update showing what’s happening in our veggie garden, a composting experiment I’m doing in one of the beds, how the plants in our little hoop house are coming along, a recommendation of own-root (non-grafted) roses for cold climates, and all of the plants that are taking up our dining room space! (thank heavens for our kitchen table, right?)

My goal is to provide you with weekly updates on a variety of gardening topics and I hope you’ll find them interesting and enjoyable. I would also love to hear what interests you during the “off season.” Just drop me a note at Susan@SusansintheGarden.com.

For my next video, I’m hoping to show you how to prune raspberry canes since I know that can be rather confusing, especially to new gardeners. It’s not hard at all, once you understand the simple rules. Since we’re supposed to have a bit of a warm-up into the 40s this week, I think this will be doable. You can prune the canes right now, or in late winter/early spring.

But in the meantime, here’s my November garden update for you. Have a great week!
