Video: NW Flower & Garden Festival

NW Flower & Garden Festival, primroses

Last week, I went to the NW Flower & Garden Festival in Seattle, where I gave three seminars and did some book signings.

I have to tell you that going to a garden festival in February is a real treat! This is the time of year that we’re all so anxious for the garden season to start, right?

I took a lot of photos of the display gardens, vendor booths, folks I met, and gardening goodies that caught my eye. I’ve put them together for this week’s video so you can vicariously experience the show. Remember that there are a lot of garden festivals and shows that take place all over the country. You might want to check into attending one or two!

Meeting Arit Anderson, one of the presenters on the British gardening TV program, Gardener’s World, was one of the highlights for me. She is such a delightful woman and very inspirational.

I also co-presented a Garden 101 seminar with Meg McAndrews Cowden and Kelly Smith Trimble. Meg lives in the Minneapolis area and is the author of Plant Grow Harvest Repeat (check out my review of her book). Kelly lives in Tennessee and wrote The Creative Vegetable Gardener and Vegetable Gardening Wisdom. Both ladies are nothing short of awesome!
