Conversations on Nature event

Conversations on Nature, dahlia

There’s a virtual event coming up that you need to know about! And it doesn’t matter where you live because you can attend it in the comfort of your own home (and jammies, if need be). It’s called “Conversations on Nature” and is a fundraising event for the Master Gardener Foundation of Spokane County.

The keynote speaker is Jennifer Jewell, well-known for her award-winning public radio program and podcast, Cultivating Place: Conservations on Nature History and the Human Impulse to Garden.

She will speak on her newest book, The Earth in Her Hands: 75 Extraordinary Women Working in the World of Plants. Her book will also be available for purchase through the Master Gardener Foundation.

The program takes place on Thursday, Oct. 15 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Pacific Time. The cost is $25. As you know, the pandemic has forced so many organizations to cancel their fundraising programs and our Master Gardener Foundation is no exception. This is a great opportunity to hear an uplifting talk while helping support the hardworking Foundation and the Spokane County Master Gardener program!
