Video: Grow with GreenStalk Vertical Planters!
If you are short on garden space or want to grow more, GreenStalk Vertical Planters are a great option! I’ve grown flowers, vegetables and even strawberries in mine over the past 5 years. And I’m hooked on them. That’s why I decided to shoot a video while planting this year’s veggies and flowers.
They are so well-designed, have a great guarantee, come in awesome colors, and are made in the USA. GreenStalk Garden is a family-run company and they have wonderful customer service. They truly are decent folks who want gardeners to be successful.
Now, before I forget, I wanted to give a shout-out to my sweet chickadee friend, ‘Ned’. You’ll see him a couple of times in this video and he’s just the cutest little guy. This is the 3rd year he’s been so friendly while he and his partner are raising a family. So cool!
This year, I planted the following in my two GreenStalk vertical planters:
- Bush beans – ‘TopCrop’ and ‘Roc D’or”
- Basil – ‘Treviso’
- Parsley – ‘Italian Flat Leaf’
- Pattypan squash – ‘Green Lightning’
- Gourds – ‘Thriller’
- Tomatoes – ‘Patio Choice Yellow’ and ‘Orange Hat’
- Mini pumpkins – ‘Batwings’
- Zinnia – ‘Holi Scarlet’ and ‘White Profusion Double’
Each of my planters has 5 tiers with 30 planting pockets. So that means I get to grow 60 plants in very little space! Each planter has an ingenious design for watering each pocket. You can hand-water the planters or use GreenStalk’s watering system. That way, the planters get watered automatically which allows you to go out of town!
As I mentioned in the video, the GreenStalk folks are great about providing easy-to-follow directions. And their watering system is a great example of that. While it might sound like a complicated task, they make it easy-peasy.
You’ll see how I set up each GreenStalk vertical planter so there’s no lifting. I have to admit that it took me about 2 years before I figured out the easiest way to assemble them! (just being honest here, LOL) Just put the lowest tier on top of the mover base, THEN fill it with potting soil and add your plants. At that point, add on the next tier, fill it with soil and plants. And so on… What a game changer that was!
During the video, I share tips for planting and caring for what you are growing, too.
I’ve been a GreenStalk affiliate for 5 years now because I am so impressed with their products. Use my special link to check out their site and get an extra $10 off purchases of $75 or more!
