growing artichokesFor today’s garden column, I wrote about growing artichokes. And specifically some things you can you to have productive artichokes if you live in a colder, shorter growing season like I do. Artichokes can be grown as perennials in USDA hardiness zones 7 to 11. My garden is in zone 5b so I have to grow them as annuals. In my column, I discuss “vernalization” which in this case is both a seed treatment and a seedling treatment. But no worries: both are super easy and they work!
