Video: Plant Spring Bulbs NOW!
Did you know that fall is the time to plant spring bulbs? Those are the ones that will bloom in the spring for us. They include tulips, daffodils, crocuses, and so many more. Planting them is the topic of my newest video.
I have to admit I’m a bit of a bulbaholic! When the bulb catalogs start arriving in late summer, I drool over the pages. Soon, there are dog-ears throughout and I’m hard-pressed to choose specific varieties.
If you are new to planting spring bulbs, my video will take the mystery out of it for you.
In it, I discuss the following topics:
- Which types of bulbs need to be planted in the fall
- The importance of following the package directions. Although, sometimes the packages don’t tell you much!
- How to plant bulbs
- Bulb aftercare. This is something that not many gardeners know about or are told. But I want to make sure your bulbs grow great so don’t miss that part of the video.
Here’s my Plant Spring Bulbs Now video (and be sure to check out the information below it)
As I mention in the video, you can find bulbs at all kinds of stores. But there are also bulb suppliers online and the options are endless! I have an extensive list of links to them on my website. When you get to that page, scroll down until you see the heading for Flower Bulbs. I have to admit that my favorite supplier is John Scheepers. Their bulbs are always spectacular and perform great in our zone 5b garden. You’ll definitely want to check them out!
If you’re a flower-lover like I am, you’ll be happy to hear that I’ve done a LOT of videos on that very topic. Here’s a link to my Flower Videos playlist.
