Aug. 20, 2026 _ Hi, everybody! Conditions have been improving in and around Spokane over the past week. The air quality is much better although it’s still very hot and dry. But it’s nice to be back out in the garden more. If you’re wondering what type of flower this is, it’s Rudbeckia ‘Sahara’. They are the most amazing plants!
I have a new video for this week, and it focuses on how I troubleshoot problems in my garden. I felt it would be helpful to cover something like this because we all have weird or frustrating things that occur, right? Here’s a direct link to the video: How To Troubleshoot Garden Problems.
Remember to visit the Grow Vegetables section that I created for my website. It is absolutely packed with useful information and tips on all of the most commonly grown crops. Click on the link, above or look for it in the menu bar on any page.
Be sure to check out my Amazon store for the gardening products I use and recommend so you’ll have a great garden season. The 3 books I’ve written are in there, under the “Susan’s Books” category. I receive a small commission but that won’t impact the price you pay.
