A Note from Susan

ATTENTION! If you’re on my Blog page and see this “Note from Susan,” scroll below it for access to all my posts… and there are LOTS!

Aug. 25, 2026 _ Hi, everybody! Hello from toasty Spokane, everybody! Our relentlessly hot summer is marching right along. But the good news is that we’re certainly harvesting a lot of different types of veggies. These include tomatoes, peppers, pole beans, cucumbers, onions, and a few potatoes. And that’s a good thing, right? Those are ‘Supremo’ tomatoes in the photo, which are my favorite paste tomato and these particular ones are growing in a pot. They’re amazing!

I’ve got a new video for you, and it’s even out a couple of days early. It’s a tour of our garden, which is something I do once a month. But because of the wildfires, I’m a week or two behind schedule. Here’s a direct link to it: August Vegetable Garden Tour. You’ll see how everything is growing and which crops are my favorites so far.

Remember to visit the Grow Vegetables section that I created for my website. It is absolutely packed with useful information and tips on all of the most commonly grown crops. Click on the link, above or look for it in the menu bar on any page.

Be sure to check out my Amazon store for the gardening products I use and recommend so you’ll have a great garden season. The 3 books I’ve written are in there, under the “Susan’s Books” category. I receive a small commission but that won’t impact the price you pay.
